QUICK GUIDE

Your PDF stays on your device.

PDF reading, scan recognition, table extraction, and Excel export all run locally in your browser. No document content is sent to a server or an external AI service.

No document storage

Linework keeps your PDF and edits only in memory while this page is open. It does not save your documents or extraction history. Closing or reloading the page clears your work. Download your Excel file before leaving; files you download stay on your device.

Your browser downloads the app and OCR resources and may cache those resources. This is separate from your PDF and extracted rows.

Get your spreadsheet in four steps

  1. Choose a PDF. Use a price list, a product table in a catalogue, or an itemised quotation. The table needs a product code or description and a unit price.
  2. Match the columns. Check the detected header, number format, and currency. Map unit prices rather than line totals.
  3. Review every row. Compare with the original, correct mistakes, and remove headings or totals. Merge wrapped descriptions when needed, then mark each row checked.
  4. Download Excel. Product codes stay as text and prices become numbers. Export becomes available once every row is checked.

Working with scans

Automatic mode uses OCR on pages with very little selectable text. If products are missing, select “OCR on every page” and re-read the PDF. Clear, upright English scans work best. OCR can make mistakes, so check codes, pack sizes, and prices closely.

Limits: 15 MB, 50 pages, up to 20 OCR pages, and 3,000 candidate rows. Linework extracts product tables; it does not reconstruct invoice totals, taxes, or arbitrary spreadsheet layouts.
